Spock (beta) a cool “people search” site

Came across a pretty neat “people search” website, called Spock. It’s still in its beta stages, but its a pretty neat site that bring up thumbnails with results which makes it a lot easier for determining if the results are exactly what you want. Its a pretty fun tool to use when your either looking for information on someone, or just fiddling around in your down time.

Freelance: Determining your hourly rate, easy solution…

Sometimes it can be a little confusing and difficult to figure out what your hourly rate should be. Should you base your’s off of everyone else? Obviously NOT, this is not only would this be unfair to both you and your clients, but you could totally screw yourself in the end. WordPress admin password lost? Reset it with this script.

I came across a neat little script over at Village-Idiot.org that makes resetting your wordpress admin password extremely simple. All you need is ftp access to your wordpress site. All you do is upload the emergency.php file to your wordpress root directory and then access it using your web browser. Then you just enter your username and the password you want, and it automatically overwrites the existing admin password to your new one. This can save you from such a big hassle. Just be sure to remove the file after your done, considering anyone can go to that file and reset your password. Two versions below:

Finding complementary and primary colors for a pre-existing site or image can be a very daunting task. This utility comes in handy and can save you a bundle of time. It scans any image that you upload (or you can choose a url) and it tells you what color’s work best with it, as well as what colors are in the image’s main focus.
