Freelance: Determining your hourly rate, easy solution…

Sometimes it can be a little confusing and difficult to figure out what your hourly rate should be. Should you base your’s off of everyone else? Obviously NOT, this is not only would this be unfair to both you and your clients, but you could totally screw yourself in the end. We found a pretty cool Freelance Calculator over at Freelanceswitch.com that provides you with an easy solution to finding that perfect number. All you do is fill out a few simple form fields (estimate’s if need be) and it will spit out what you should charge your clients, while keeping everything balanced out at the bank.

WordPress admin password lost? Reset it with this script.

I came across a neat little script over at Village-Idiot.org that makes resetting your wordpress admin password extremely simple. All you need is ftp access to your wordpress site. All you do is upload the emergency.php file to your wordpress root directory and then access it using your web browser. Then you just enter your username and the password you want, and it automatically overwrites the existing admin password to your new one. This can save you from such a big hassle. Just be sure to remove the file after your done, considering anyone can go to that file and reset your password. Two versions below:
